Mummy Book of the Dead and Key

I am looking for buildups of the Mummy Book and Key, as I just revisited the subject. I started construction on the key and because it's a hero one, it's difficult to make the hinges work properly.

here's a pic of my mummy key, cast from a screen used stunt i was told. Painted it in a dark copper and weathered the hell out of it to give it that old look.

can't wait to see yours, have been toying with the idea to make a brass hero myself, but never got around to it.

i don't know, looked pretty brassy to me in the screencaps. Reason i assumed it was meant to be brass is that it looks really tarnished, and as far as i know gold doesn't tarnish.

Does anyone know where (or who) I would contact to find these Book props? Does someone offer them as resin castings? They are gorgeous, but I've never seen them offered. I'd be sorely tempted to get them.

Very nice buildups, the gold is awesome although I think your book could use a litte weathering

I decided to leave the key in an open position. Too much labor involved to make it work. After all, this is just a sideproject ^^
