Well, no, I haven't started collecting dolls like Waylon Smithers yet... this was a commission I made for a Fashion Dolls Show with costumes from Barbie and other (very expensive) dolls 
I only had 36 hours to complete it so I went for the quick way! I made a sculpture out of water based clay:
then I poured the gypsum and once it dried I removed the clay
Then I applied plenty of demolding: silicon spray and paraffin wax, just to be sure :lol
I used polyurethane resin and I made a semi-rotocast moving the mold (it had a curved surface so I had to keep it moving while the resin was hardening). I chose to use polyurethane because it was fast curing, otherwise I would have gone for fiberglass!
I demolded it by breaking the gypsum mold to release the cast.
i cleaned the cast with the help of Dark-Side, which is also a member here, and spray painted it gold, more pics of the final piece will come!
