MR Rocketeer helmet cleaning help

the stuff i use is met-all
and it is very easy to use
the mr helmet is at the very least brass plated
and i am fairly sure it is solid
the inside is coated with glue so i cannot guarantee
wipe on met-all till it turns black
than wipe off to reveal a golden mirror
just wear gloves to avoid getting finger prints on all that beautiful metal

Same thing as brasso lol

Found my old can in a closet awhile ago. Read it and it's actually a multipurpose cleaner for metals

Thanks for the input.
My GF (sunshine dust here on the board) was the one who dribbled here lense cleaning solution on the helmet.
Should I make her buy the cleaner...would that make me a d-bag?? :confused

your a d-bag for telling the world I did it! I feel bad enough :cry

How did this even happen?

Either her contact lens solution was in the wrong place, or your helmet was.........:lol

The only thing you might want to be careful about is if you clean it, you may wind up taking off what little "weathering" the factory applied. Dunno what you're preference is so it may not matter. Personally, a clean Rocketeer helmet is kinda like a pristine Fett helmet. Just doesn't look right to me ;) But hope you get it worked out to your satisfaction!

Was there a final verdict here? I'm so reluctant to clean my helmet with anything other than soap and warm water but even that only has a limited effect. Anyone successful with polishing their MR bucket? Pics of results would be awesome :D!
