MR Rebel Blaster Disassembly

I stripped the reciever tube because the factory paint looks like plastic. I discovered a nasty yellow underneath.

This was easily sanded off revealing a nice steel color.

Some Rustoleum Satin Black and my patented method of weathering - throwing the gun into a bag of metal tools and shaking it around. :lol
The grip still needs a bit of weathering and the trigger is now fully functional.

I guess. I knida freaked when I first saw it and thought, brass!!?? :lol The metal is still a bit too clean. Look at the difference between the tube and the endcap.

WHAT A GREAT TOPIC! :) I though i was nuts when i bought the MR han blaster when it first came out, took all the parts off the gun, and affixed my REAL hensoldt scope to my REAL mauser. The MR parts DID match up and i got a UNIQUE and pretty accurate han blaster from it. I didnt buy the leia blaster from MR but instead dressed up a real russian margolin .22 pistol. But the rebel blaster looked to hard...NOW i mite just pick one up n do what you did...THANX :) Fly casual, curt
