MR Falcon

I think these Falcons look awesome personally. I am not a modeler so maybe there are things that I wouldn't notice, but I am very impressed according to all the pictures I have seen.

Only $140? that is by far the cheapest I've heard for a Falcon case. Where is local

You can see the a flash can wash things out and not give true representation of the weathering. Even so the flash pics still look great.
HUGE Thanks to Master Replicas. :)

My first impression is that this is one heavy mutha. I'm very impressed with the factory paint job on my LE No. 47. For a mass produced collectible, you won't find better... :D

How anybody could complain about this paintjob is beyond me. For a mass-produced item, this is exemplary work.

Hey, that was my 500th post. I can't think if anything better than to have complimented the paint job on the pinnacle of studio scale prop replicas. Nice.

Hector

Yeah, I gotta say - THAT is following Dean's paint master. Awesome. Hope mine looks as nice.

I debated about whether to post 9+ MB of pics, but...this is THE Falcon thread. Apologies to the people with lower bandwidth.

This model - like most - really can't be done justice with flash photography. I was lucky and had really great light this afternoon, so I wanted to show people what they can expect. There will be deviations, I'm sure. There are multiple painters, who, I'm sure, are all getting more experienced as they go.

I would really like to know how long it took someone to paint mine. 'Cause it just floors me how good it is for a factory replica. Gotta wonder if Dean made an instructional DVD for 'em? :D I'd buy one from him if he ever does.

Anyhow, I'm very satisfied with the whole episode, from ordering to delivery. It would have been nice to know what day it was going to show up. But, UPS-SCS were the carriers and they did a great job getting mine to the doorstep. Kudos to MR, ILM, LFL, Larry, Frank, Morten and Dean - and Jason. Thanks to Barry for keeping us informed along the way. Hope others are, or soon will be, as happy as I am.

Allan

Yup I agree whole heartily with Allan's statement. This MR Falcon is just incredible. The tone and weathering is just perfect. Pictures are one thing but when you see it in person it is inspiring to see.
My shipping went very well too BTW.
Yes many thanks to Barry, Dean, Morten and Frank for helping to bring the ILM falcon to our doorsteps. :)
A resounding great job Master Replicas.

I just wish MR made use of all that video I shot of the Falcon being scanned at the archives, or all the data Steve and I put together for the "Falcon Diary" idea that never was. But whattya gonna do.

I can't see any of the pics you just posted imaginager, dohhhh.

After seeing some of the new pics I feel really bad for complaining about the paint job, but the first images I saw didn't look as nice as what I'm seeing now, I'm sure the flash photography had a bit to do with it though.

Wow, just wow... IF mine looks this good I will be extremely happy. No I don't expect a stamped copy of this one......but it should be very similar.

Dave :)
