MR Falcon

Dean, very nice. Shows just how big it is.

Looks like you made a custom mount and base. Can you describe a little more about how you mounted it? Is it illuminated?

Thanks,
Allan

That looks fantastic.

It is so much better mounted level rather than angled over IMHO.

I wish I would have know about that contest. I would have driven the 2 hours just to see your falcon. Looks great.

Hi Dave,
I believe that is the name of the private shipper who is shipping the first 50 Falcons. No way to track it I guess. Which is disappointing because would like to be here when it arrives.

Did anyone figure out or confirm the LILE tracking ??

Has anyone who received their MR falcon noticed a missing piece on the front of the ship? A few early reports have indicated that this same small detailed piece is missing on their Falcons. I'm wondering if these are isolated incidents or something else (since the parts were not located in shipping boxes).

Can anyone who has received their ship confirm this missing part?
Thanks.

I just posted over at Rebelscum, and as I stated over there the 1 or 2 who were missing pieces on the left hand side are in fact missing but the right side I believe are meant to be that way, this is mine....

And this is the pic from Sir Steves Guide photo gallery from the Comic Con...

Once again I'm not quite sure about the etiquette of posting others pics so if this has to be removed I will kindly edit my post......

The right side looks o.k. - it was the left side that people were questioning. Since these pieces are on the corner, I figure they may be rubbing off during shipping. However, nobody has found this part in their shipping boxes which is curious. Although, it is a small piece - it's still noticeable to fans of the Falcon.

yodaman, I just clarified this over there, (Rebelscum,) the left side wasn't in question some are in fact missing pieces, but a few people said that they were missing pieces on the right side and I don't really think that they are. I hope that the couple reports are just isolated incidents and not going to be a reoccuring problem. :confused

I haven't found any missing parts on my Falcon.

just got this email from the MR blog:

Bryan Ono, head of the Star Wars Business Unit has posted a small update for those of you looking for acrylic tops for your new Millennium Falcon Studio Scale replicas in this Rebelscum message board thread:
Just a little update on the acrylic top. We are working with a vendor located in California. The price that we have right now is $275 each, which INCLUDES the shipping carton. We are having a sample made and should have it by next week. In working with the vendor, he suggested that we made it in 5 pieces, the top and 4 sides. He does not recommend doing the 3 piece design due to the size. (The 3 piece design is how all of our other display case are made, the front/top/back is one piece and the you have the right and left panels. We will give you an update as soon as we evalutate the sample. Thanks for your patience.

**OUCH**

I guess I'll get mine locally here for $140.00 ....

my bird will be here later today so I can take my measurements and have my case in about 7-10 days...

Hi Dave,
Did you ever receive an actual real tracking number? You mentioned UPS is delivering it. Weren't you part of the first 50 falcons to be delivered with the LILE email tracking? So as I understand it UPS is shipping these first 50. Right?
Thanks
Carl

If you go here...you can see the size...it is worth every penny, this is my custom MR falcon.[/b]
Gorgeous work, Dean. Congratulations... not just on your own win, but on your sons' wins, too.

Lots of talent in your gene pool. :thumbsup
