Just found this on Forbidden Planet's site.

There's no way this is MR's helmet, but it's interesting it's available for pre-order, £299.
If I were MR I'd ask FP to pull the pic.

Isn't that a Riddell 45% sized helmet from a few years back?. :confused

And the helmet that they showed at the London toy expo had clear SDS origins (and reputedly had an SDS sticker inside the lid.)

I wonder if MR released this pic for use, or if Forbidden Planet decided to use it themselves?

I bought an old magazine from 1977 / 78, off eBay a while back and some US firm was advertising Don Post Star Wars masks for sale near the back of the mag - the pic they used for the Stormtrooper was of a real movie helmet. I'm sure a lot of folks were disappointed when they received their jelly-mould Don Post Stormtrooper helmet instead. So I suppose this sort of thing has always happened :unsure

I think they mixed up pics. As mentioned above, thats the Mini Ridell helm wich MR is re-releasing.
