Since the reaction has been positive to my Graflex pix in this thread, I've started a similar reference album for the MPP. A bit harder to shoot because of the chrome finish, but I'll do what I can. There are 11 to start but I'll keep adding. If there's a particular part you want done, please post.

    Enjoy.

And I know the shroud is incorrect, so Vader guys don't have fits. :D

Nice. I've got a parks and wish I could get that paint finish on the shroud.
    Thanks for posting.

I think you can buy paint that dries with that crinkly finish. Worth investigating. Somebody here must know.

Finally a great resource for everything MPP :)

And here's the wrinkle spraypaint but beware to use a mouth mask
and cover or remove everything within a 50m radius when painting :

Added a few more, but I think I've just about covered it.

It never occurred to me that I should have cleaned the thing first. Oy. :lol

Well documented ... I know how hard it is to photograph a chrome surface ... what a shame your push button piece is missing a genuine screw ... good job though :)

Excellent reference pics! Thanks for posting.

Can you tell me if the clamp sleeve is glued fixed to the inside of the clamp or if it is loose and adjustable?

Also, has there been any consensus on which endcap version is the correct ANH? I know the ESB is the version pictured here, but is there any visibility on the ANH endcap?

What material does the sleeve beneath the clamp appear to be made out of?

I think it's plastic. Compared to the old Graflex 37s, these MPPs aren't that well made. Maybe that's why there aren't as many survivors.

I think they must not have manufactured the same numbers as Graflexes that were made, as well.

If you want to learn more about MPP and their line of products . . . this is a wonderful read :

... and yes it even mentions the flashgun to be used for Vader's lightsaber in STAR WARS :)

After handling one for a couple of weeks now and really looking it over, I agree. In comparison to a Graflex, the MPP feels a bit flimsy and shoddy in some respects...particularly the clamp area.

Have you tried with some Dark Side ... feel the anger grow within you when handling that 'flimsy and shoddy' MPP ... it makes all the difference :lol . . . that and a real 1 step shroud :)

I'm certain the correct shroud would change my mind. You will send the correct shroud to me.
