I would recommend by looking at the Wanna Wanga site, specifically the saber bible. It has the most up-to-date information and some of the best images available. I think in addition to the wires & the t-track, you should figure out if you're doing the version that most people think of with the circuit board or the shared ESB-ROTJ hero that has long grips, wires, and also a bubble strip with an even different circuit board underneath.

yep, i am doing the ESB/ROTJ version with the bubble strip/PCB. I was looking at the WW site and did not see the specific bubble strip/PCB version available right now.

Roy's bubble strip will work; you have to trim it down to size. Slothfurnace has the circuit board that goes under the strip in green or blue. You'll have to trim that too, but I think it'll be worth the affect.

I've searched this thread, and while I haven't placed an order yet, I fully intend to.

One thing I would like to know, however, is how to remove the 'Microflash' plate. I would just prefer that it not be there, so any help would be sincerely appreciated.

One would just grind down the bolt nubs on the plate and it would just pop off, yes?

cut the small rivet with nail cutter and the plate can be removed.

I think, and I'm not Vader expert that the nubs still stick out right?

I only ask because when I remove beer tabs in fear of slipping and damaging the outside of the flash. I disassemble the whole thing and file the tab from the inside of the flash

I would do it the same way to remove the tab on the MPP. But I think the experts have said the small tabs can still be seen sticking out, therefor production just filed the heads off to remove the MPP logo

Again I'm not home so I can't really use my reference material

This could not have been a better time. I was losing hope in finding a decent ANH Vader hilt, but this is it...just gotta get my funds squared away

Incredible. They look like a freaking MPP. I guess that's the point, I'm just floored, down to the spring around the socket...
