MPC Millennium Falcon Upgrade Kit Mk.II, HH

Blast some light in there, then close down your f-stop, and see if you can increase your depth of field to get everything in focus. (Might be cool).

Problem is that's a phone photo, and phones generally don't have adjustable DOF. They also already have a fairly broad DOF owing to the small sensor.

yeah, I see what you're saying. I've got an old digital somewhere...likely would need some of the funky weird batteries that were always so hard to find. I'll see what I can do. But then again...if I get too good of a shot, you'll see all the flaws LOL :lol

btw, and I should have elaborated in my last post, Tony 308 Bits came up with the walls and ceiling to the entry way, and then modified his landing ramp set and produced the hull interlocks all to work together, almost at my request it seemed. What an awesome guy. If you're building a landed ramp down MPC, these are MUST have pieces. Cheers to Tony! And big thanks to Haystack for his awesome work.
If I'm not mistaken, he's currently scratch building what will probably be a more accurate and properly proportioned falcon than the new 400 plus dollar Bandai. Maybe if we're lucky, he'll cast it up and offer a kit of his own?

One person I neglected to mention, Dick ******. The owner of Hobby Depot in Tempe AZ. He guided me through much if not ALL of my newly acquired paint and weathering skills and helped select the right colors to achieve the desired results. He's an awesome guy who is never too busy to answer questions and showing you his own work so that you can see what can be done with the right tools and know how.

Cheers to Dick!

Like an idiot, I had forgotten the PE piece for the cockpit tube...it's on there now. (see above)

Wow, great conversions.
Thanks, I'm quite pleased with this one. it only took 4 previous builds before I got one to this level. I have plenty more in the closet though, but I don't think I can improve on this too much except for maybe using the top of the Shapeways ramp corridor piece. I used a hull separator tube the diameter of the gun turret wells so that eliminated the afore mentioned part. have to build the separator differently to allow room for it. always a way though. I didn't use the replacement fuel regulators either, but I have all that stuff.

sorry, I babbled

Question for anyone and everyone with an opinion...

I think I might continue building these and put them on Ebay for sale. What do you suppose would be a decent goal for a selling price?

Hi Haystack Hair & Fellow Falcon-Builders,

I got the outstanding upgrade kit (thanks agian HH) and I am rather happy with it. Still, I am ordering some mor bits and pieces from Shapeways to complete the upgrade before starting with the build.
I was wondering what is the exact height of the exhaust gille I should order to fit perfectly. The "shortened" MPC grilles are offered in 1,9 cm & 1,7 cm (original was 2,4 cm) - which one should I go with?
Appreciate if you share your experience.

I've been using the Shapeways/308 bits grille that's listed for the Blue Moon upgrade, 17mm, with HH upgrade. recently finished #5... it's the first with HH parts...but the grilles I bought 3 at once :lol
