MPC 22" Eagle Transporter test shot!

I took a trip to Jerseyfest at the end of August and was able to pack three models in my suitcase. At the end of the show, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my FineMolds 1/72 Millennium Falcon (http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=79652) took both "Best Star Wars" and "Best Vehicle First Place". The icing on the cake was the prize for taking Best Vehicle was a first production test shot of the upcoming 22" MPC Eagle Transporter model kit from Space: 1999. The test shot arrived on Monday and I shot an unboxing video on Wednesday. I'm posting a link to it here for you guys to check it out. Construction work on the model begins this weekend.

BTW, Jerseyfest was a fun show to attend. If you get a chance to go, please do!

I provided a link to my FineMolds Falcon thread in the first post, so there you can see images of that specific model. As for the others, one was my 1/144 Stellar Envoy build and that thread can be found here: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=243302

The third one was the Solvalou fighter from the classic video game Xevious (built from a kit by Wave). I don't really have any decent images of it online, but hope to rectify that soon. The big Falcon took a gold as well as the two big awards. The Stellar Envoy and Solvalou both took silvers.

Thanks to a collaboration with CultTVman, I have posted a first look of the MPC 22" Eagle test shot. We uploaded the photos in a higher than normal resolution to hopefully help you guys see the details on this model better. Round 2 did a good job on the parts as you can recognize the half scale bits used on the 44" model, such as the infamous Tamiya Panther tank deck, Revell Gemini astronauts (among others), and both the round Service Module inserts and Lunar Module pieces that came from the Airfix 1/144 Saturn V kit. Build one of these kits and you will probably get a good understanding into what is needed to do a 44" studio scale replica.
