Movies you watch that NEVER get stale......

Happy Saturday everyone!

I was just watching The Road Warrior (Mad Max 2) and realized that while I have seen this movie a few HUNDRED times, it never gets stale. Never gets old. Am I the only one?

What are your movies like that? What is a movie that you can watch constantly and just never get tired of?

:thumbsup

Star Trek II.

I've probably watched this film over 1000 times (I think it would be a blast to know the actual number of times).

It never gets old. I never get tired, and even to this day I still get misty eyed when Spock is in the process of saving the Enterprise.

It's a red letter day when I "notice" something I had not before in all these years. Even if it is a flaw.

ANH. IDK why. But I can still watch it.

I would bet I have seen ANH more than you have seen TSFS! :lol

If when I die, I get to ask God questions. One of the first would be. How many times have I seen each OT SW movie? LOL!

Wouldn't that be something? I was just thinking about this the other day. What if I would have kept count?

Star Trek II.

I'm with you on Road Warrior as well as the original Mad Max. The SW OT, Robocop, Predator, Predators, Watchmen, though those last two are recent enough not to have stood the test of time...but all cinematic comfort food.

I'll bet you have too! Since... you know... TSFS was Star Trek III not Star Trek II. ;)

But if you meant you've seen ANH more than I've seen ST:II...

Nuh uh! I've seen my movie more than you've seen yours! :p :lol

Wong Kar-Wai's In the Mood for Love is one of those films.

But of course, I never tire of watching ANH. Each time I put it on to look for something I end up watching nearly the whole thing!

Seriously. I think I've logged in 20 viewings over the last month. My wife tends to fall asleep early on the couch and more often than not my DVR will run into a "conflict" where we're taping 2 things at the same time and I don't want to watch it live without her. So I'll throw in ANH while I'm online, painting or getting boxes ready for shipping.
For some reason I throw in the Dawn Of The Dead remake alot.

Platoon
Jaws (still holds up extremely well, wardrobe and fake shark notwithstanding)

Edit: just to head you all off at the pass, *or 188 years, depending on how you look at it

STWOK, ANH, ESB, John Carpenter's The Thing, The Big Labowski, Ghostbusters, The Princess Bride, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, and Blade Runner.

I'll be the first to admit my spelling isn't the greatest but I think it's hilarious that both The Big Lebowski references are misspelled. :lol
