Okay, so I need some ideas on making a helmet that will move. It's more of a mask, it's worn by a character in a game called Overwatch and is basically her sniper rifle scope. I would really like to make the helmet/mask thing move back and forth with the push of a button on the gun, but I need some serious technical know-how to do that. I'm not sure if it's even really possible, but I figured this would be a good place to start looking for info. I've included pictures of the mask both in the up and down positions.
What kind of materials should I be looking for, and are there any sources (books, websites) that I can find more info from? My original idea was to maybe use motors from RC cars to get the movement, but it wouldn't really account for the fact that the mask would only need to move so far either way, and would need a reverse setting.

Any help/advice you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated!!
