Mor'du from Brave

Hi everyone!

It's Matt from TubbaButta Cosplay. This Salt Lake Comic Con 2017 will be in September and I'm doing another Disney lineup. This time, we've chosen Brave and I'll be Mor'du. There are a lot of awesome bear costume tutorials out there including the amazing Adam's Savage's build on Tested, but none of them seem to have tackled the ability to transition from walking on all fours to standing. I'm in the design stage on this project and won't have any new pictures to post until I've gotten my head around some of the engineering concerns.
I'd appreciate your thoughts/ experience on this. Thanks!

If you want the big from arms, you could do something like they do to re-create ape arms. Use a stilt for each arm. You could shorten, but overall it would give the ability to put weight on the from legs.
