Thought Ridley Scott was better than this. What the hell is happening with Hollywood these days? I guess that means Disneyland is no longer expanding if there is no imagination left in the world*... ;)

And another question...

What edition of Monopoly are they doing? Star Wars? Indiana Jones? Pirates of the Caribbean? :rolleyes

Hey, it COULD turn out to be a fun movie - but let's face it, any movie that is based on a game - let alone a board game - usually does not fare well in the world of movies.

Sad thing is I just came up with a semi interesting way of pulling the movie off. I'm not proud of it either lol.

I was thinking a sort of cyberpunk thing where players manipulate either other people or some sort of avatar to amass the most wealth within a given time using any means necessary and since they're controlling things from the shadows they don't care who gets hurt and go to excessive means to do it.

Thats a very good idea Wes, the theme of manipulation in either the real or cyberworld is something the great man could easily make interesting.
Hope this doesnt cut into any new BR project time though.

How does that apply to the rock'em sock'em robots 'the movie' coming out? Ok, that's not the title, but it's all that pops up when i see the commerical for it :)

I agree. It's all I think of too. I know it's supposed to be based on a short story but it looks like they fused it and the game into one storyline.
