I recently completed building two full scale moisture vaporators for a special event coming up next month. I'm not allowed to say for who unfortunately. But I'm excited about the opportunity to make these!
The are about 20 feet tall, though I'll have to cut the top pole down for the event so they're no more than 12 feet tall. I didn't want to sacrifice the size of the main sections so the skinny pole gets the chop job.
For stability, I made the base 4' in diameter out of 3/4" plywood.
For more stability, there is a 100 lbs. bucket of concrete place inside. The concrete holds tight a pair of 4" PVC couplers to hold the internal pipe firmly.
I made the details on each box section different, so the two MV's were not identical. I also made the top section different for each. One is original trilogy and one is prequel style.
I wrapped each "donut" in 1/16" ABS plastic.

This took me about two months. A whole heck of a lot longer than I estimated!
