Hello! First, let me say that these forums are quite a fantastic find! But now to what I'm here for:

My fiance and I are getting married 10/31/14, and we're looking to have a theme of Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas." What I'm asking is for some tips on what materials would be best to build the facades of some of the buildings from the town (Town Hall, "Pac Man" Building, Fountain, etc) as well as some other miscellaneous things (A big light to emulate the movie's yellow moon, what kind of finish to use on a wooden silhouette of the Spiral Hill, etc.). I've got lots of time, and lots of help, I'm just wondering the best way to go about making these props, and how to make them sturdy enough for the wedding. Also, I'm on a semi-small budget (Basically the cheaper, the better.), so any tips, hints, or tricks that will help me pull this off would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)
