Mile High THOR project (Updated helmet progress)

hello everyone, im new to the RPF, but have been a follower of many peoples creations for a while. Thought is time i joined the ranks and share some of my work.

I just started this litterally hours ago. Its oil based clay im using. trying to get the shape before i do anything.

started to carve out some basic detail shape into the helm. I would appreciate any thoughts or opinions as I am sculpting. Any reference pics would help too. Thanks to you all in advance

I'm guessing your going off the movie style? Looking good! One suggestion that I think might help get the "look" is to start "flaring" out the tips of the wings as well as start bringing the face shield portions more inward.

thanks, yeah its being based off the movie version. I noticed my ears were off too. the darn clay was too bendy, i hand to put sticks inside to straighten them out. its gonna be corrected in my next set of pics i post

Nice start , u need to take more time and patient on smoothing the surface , curve angle and sharp line . The shape looks nice so far

the clay is somewhat firm, but i had to put Popsicle sticks in it to keep its shape. If i would have bought the firm clay for detailing like i should have it wouldnt need sticks.
