Middle Earth Map

I recently bought a 4' x 8' ShopBot...and am trying to get up to speed on how to use it as quickly as possible. Too many fun things to make on top of the work I'm doing..as work.

I thought a fun mini-project would be to carve a copy of the map of "Middle Earth".

This was carved in a 28" x 28" piece of 1/2" pvc. The overall carve came out decently, but the very small lettering around the border just wasn't clean enough in the original art to come out well....but never the less, I'm happy with it.

Here it is thus far- up to about 1/2 way on the paint.
