Methods of adding a skin texture to hard plastic face

Hi, I have a 1:6scale action figure face that I would love to look a bit more real, rather than having perfectly smooth "vogue magazine" flesh, as I want him to be wearing white makeup I can't achieve this through painting, and need to add in some light texture - pores and the such myself. It's a very hard perfect texture so maybe I'd need to recast it in something more malleable, though ideally I'd work on the original resin.
