Thought I’d share my build since it’s almost complete.
Coming from a part of the world where getting pulse rifle parts is nigh impossible- I lucked into a spas cage which sent me on a 2 or so year hunt to acquire whatever else I could get my hands on. I quit the build several times and pursued other options but eventually picked it back up about a year ago and finally have it in a place I’m happy with.
I decided at some point late in the game after acquiring a denix Tommy gun (the lower receiver was my first big hurdle) that I wanted it all metal- I wanted the weight and that feel of an authentic Pulse and I just have a thing for non resin props.
This led to my second big hurdle. Metal Shrouds.
So after watching some other builders I went down the aluminum sand casting route to make the shrouds- with no idea of what I was doing. Which then lead me down using a lathe and mill (still no idea) once I had the shrouds happening it then to my third big hurdle- eventually fabricating the pump action/ Remington type parts for inside the spas cage (again no idea) and barrels - with welding and metal work.
There was plenty of mistakes and other compromises along the way. Headaches and road blocks.
The end result is what you see below- pump action functions, bolt functions, trigger and mag count down/ reset the ammo counter.
Upper receiver is correct, lower receiver I had to make do with the denix 1928 Tommy- which was pretty much the lynchpin that the entire metal aspect was built off.
Weighs prob too much but I can live with that.
And I had plenty of help from some of the members here- which is what’s great about this community.
I also took some creative license when painting/ weathering etc
