Limited Run Metal Blade Runner Blaster Based on AndersEFP Design

Looks good!

Will this be nice and tight, or does it have the potential to become rattle-prone over time?

I’ve owned and built several Sidkits back in the day, and the pewter ended up becoming a bit of a problem when it came to screw threads easily stripping the soft metal.

I guess if you handle it quite a lot, it has the potential for the screws to come loose. If you are going to handle it all the time I would recommend using thread lock

First, just amazing workmanship and craftsmanship. How you guys figure out how to do all this stuff and have it all fit together is just mind-blowing.

I'm interested, depending on final product, price, and S&H cost to the USA (shipping around here is already insane, so I'm guessing crossing the pond will be rather pricey). Some questions...

You mentioned in the first post that the parts in black are resin. In your build thread, you did a lot of the grippy knobs and push buttons in pewter, but they are black on your images on page 1. Just wanted to confirm those are all indeed pewter and not resin.

Your #154 post in your build thread shows "raw" parts, showing an example of the condition of the kit pieces buyer would be receiving. Keeping in mind not all of us have your "wonderful toys" (buffing wheels, and lathes, and such) what is the process of cleaning up the pewter pieces to get them finish-ready, and roughly how long does it take (I know that's impossible to answer accurately: maybe use a specific part as an example).

Thanks and again, awesome work! :)

First off as everyone has started. You've done an amazing job on this piece of Pure Art. Just two questions If I may. Do you see any problems with shipping over the pond with this kit? Customs? And In the future will spare parts be available? Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. Over the top work

I'm finally at the stage to start perpetrations on my run for the Metal Blade Runner Blaster based on AndersEFP designs, I have a build log of this project HERE that is now just over a year in the making.

This run will be made in batches of 5 at a time due to the work involved and my own sanity.

The run(s) will be for a DIY Kit made of Pewter and Resin cast of Anders design of Deckard Blade Runner Blaster. I encourage you to have a look at the build log to see how this blaster kit differs from other available kits and the changes Anders has made for this project that differ from his files that are available on Thingiverse

This is an image of the Prototype.

The main parts are cast Pewter, all the Black parts are cast Resin. This includes a resin cast Cylinder, I know a lot of you want a metal Cylinder but its just not possible for me to make one in metal. I hope this decision reflects in the price of the kit. The Barrel will be Aluminium. Also included are the Amber grips and x5 44. Special rounds. The rounds will look real with un-struck primers! they are however 100% inert. As I am in the UK I am forced to follow local law so the rounds will have a hole drilled in the side... once in the Cylinder you wont see them. Electronics for the mag and green side lights are also supplied. All holes will be drilled and tapped and bolts/screws are included.

I will update this post as it nears completion with more detailed info. I'm looking to price the kit at £350 (this could change) shipping will be an additional cost.

Never been so happy to see my name on a list.

I've been finishing up / buffing the metal parts kit from Tip Top Workshop this week to add to an Anders blaster resin kit, and they really REALLY shine up very well indeed,

which has only made me more excited.

Just remember the sanity part of your earlier post DaveChaos and we'll all try to remember to be patient!
