I thought I would see if this was do-able.
A little 24 guage metal, some tubing, and a Mig welder.....and a lot of free time. I figured the dome would be the hard part.
I was right. Looks like I'll have a bunch of grinding in my future.
The lip of the helmet would be simple enough, just split some 90 degree bends.
Add some more metal....
A piece here and a piece there....
Starting to look like a Medieval Storm Trooper now.
Side by side with a FX bucket.
Time to make the ears.
Chin piece done, needs to be welded.
Don't try this with a normal bucket, that's 220 lbs on there.
Sanded with 150 then 320 then 400 then 600 then 1200 grit sand paper. Then touched it up with some Mag wheel polish. Looks like a new nickel in person.
