Since every Star Wars related thing has been thoroughly explored, the recent trend to start bringing McQuarries concept work to life has been a really fun thing to see.

I thought it would be fun to post up all the projects related to this concept and even discuss what would cool to see in the future.

It's hard to believe there were that many renditions of the Stormtrooper:eek I've seen all the reproductions in progress, but never all at once. Awesome is all I can say!

I know I saw someone who had realized this McQuarrie concept Vader in 1:1 scale several years ago but I never had the chance to save the images :-(

Thanks for starting the thread and collecting the pix, nick daring - very
interesting stuff.

Anyone have good pix of the McQ saber designs? hopefully this won't get
confused with the Trevass design - even though that is a great one in its own
right.

Yeah, I remember seeing a picture of it sitting in a window... someone surely must have that picture saved.

I didn't save any of the storefront window shots, as I remember them having a lot of reflections in the glass :unsure

IIRC, it was a one-off, and I think the guy that did it is Canadian - I recall the storefront window shots being the front of The Silver Snail Comic Shop in Toronto.

Ron Boyd might have more info on the guy...

Nice.. but could have been narrower (especially the snout) and needs the fork between the eyebrows on the dome.

I've got a McQuarrie lightsaber too. Nice shiny chrome with big emitter 'disc'. Removable sleeve showing the 'guts'.
