May be wrong forum - But great news for us Dredd fans

Oh I so hope this happens. Loved this movie so so much, my ideal would be multiple sequels featuring at least one city based movie with the Dark Judges and one Cursed Earth based movie featuring a really well executed Angel Gang. Considering how cool Mean looked in that other film I won't mention, imagine how awesome he'd look in this version of the Dredd universe :)

Oh and you'd have to have an adaptation of The Pit in there too... And America... And ah screw it just adapt every Dredd story ever into the new movies!

I don't care what a sequel would be like as long as they provide a budget for advertising it.......I knew nothing about the 2012 movie until it came out on BluRay and until I saw the cover, I thought it was a 3-D version of the Stalloned movie. I don't think I ever saw a promo trailer on TV at all, here in the U.S.. No wonder it wasn't a financial success!

I have only one hope for the sequel... that it NOT suck.

My sincere hope is that Dredd was not a fluke.

The worst thing that could possibly happen is a sequel that overplays its hand and ends up being stupid.

If they can achieve that much, I'll take anything else they want to shovel in.

Alright. Cynicism achieved. Back to being optimistic!

There were so many 'eastereggs' and nods back to the comic in the 3D film that you just knew that the film-makers 'got' what Dredd was about and were fans of the comics.

The 'Fattie' with his belly-wheel
Chopper graffiti
Hotties shop

just to name a few.

MegaCity One has so many great stories and characters, that you could make many many films!

Like the America Story, where it was explained how it came to the Judge System, but Judge Death is too supernatural for the set tone of Dredd. I had posted on FB a way to overcome this, but I'd leave that out here in the Dredd series…

I received an email from the organisers of the petition about more we can do to get the studio to give the go ahead for the sequal.

Thank you - you're one of more than 80,000 people have now signed the petition calling for a sequel to DREDD! The response to the petition has been just incredible and the endorsement of the owners of Judge Dredd, 2000 AD and Rebellion, has seen the numbers surpass everyone's expectations.

But we still need your help!

On 18th September, we're encouraging everyone to take part in a massive DREDD SEQUEL DAY OF ACTION - we've already made the moneymen who could get behind a sequel sit up and take notice by consistently keeping the DVD and Blu-Ray in the charts on Amazon and now on Netflix.

We're asking everyone who's signed the petition to come together next Wednesday and drive DREDD back up the charts - if everyone who's signed the petition bought an extra DVD or Blu-Ray (either for themselves or as a present for a friend) or rented/bought it on iTunes and Netflix it will send the loudest signal yet that WE WANT MORE DREDD!

So spread the word that on Wednesday 18th September, you're going to bring DREDD back into the public eye! Plus, it's the day that the new comic book sequel comes out, with lots of media attention planned for this and the campaign.

**EDIT**

I forgot to say I'm going to get it on Blu-Ray and watch it on Netflix...again and again on the 18th. :D
