Maul binoculars

Does anyone know of a decent base to make Darth Maul's binoculars out of? I've seen the Star Wars toy but I understand that it's undersize and that's not even mentioning the large dome on top of it.

As an aside if I were to scratch build one would anyone know where to get the bit in front of the rectangle on the left hand grip?
