I've had quite a few people ask to hold this beauty, morrris!! Everybody's been surprised by the weight. I'm still working on some improvements for it, as well...damn work keeps me extremely busy, though. It'll happen...
Also, about the Skeletor sword...I just recently bought an extremely rare set of hilt castings taken from the original film molds!!! I'm blown away by the great details that went into this sword that was only onscreen for about 3 seconds!! But with so many of these awesome props, that's the way it goes, I guess. It's a HUGE find for any MOTU fan!! I'll post pictures soon.
And yes, I do have plans for this one as well.

I've just recently found out some really exciting info about getting the blades made!! In aluminum, of course, as it's much more reasonable (price-wise) and the original was made of it as well. As for the guard, since this is a custom piece, I would definitely have to remake it and NOT just recast the piece I have. There are a few obstacles to get through, but I know there are collectors out there that really do want these, and I'd love to be able to help make that possible!!

Okay... where the %&*$ did you get a casting of the Skeletor sword??? :lol But seriously, tell the UPS guy not to shake the boxes too much when you ship them. I'd hate to see the pointy end come flying out!! This is awesome, now if you could just get Dolph Lundgren to hold it...

Your timing is pretty ridiculous, morrris!! I just got back from a mini-convention in L.A. that DOLPH LUNDGREN himself was at! He was a very cool guy, I have to say, I was actually a little surprised. So, in one of the ultimate FAN-DREAM-COME-TRUE moments, I met and spoke very briefly with Dolph. He seemed happy to see the sword and said "I have one of these at home, actually." Ha! He graciously signed it for me along the blade and then held it up and smiled for photos! He also mentioned that his is "about 5 times heavier" than mine!! It was, hands down, one of the greatest (geek) moments of my life. The prop was a head-turner, and several people approached me to hold it and ask about it. Totally Phenomenal day!!!
These first pics are shots of the completed sword. I mentioned earlier in the thread that I would finish the handle and I did!! Wood and leather-wrapped. I'm very proud of it. Enjoy!

Thanks! Indeed he does kick ass!! Yes, the hilt is painted wood. I would LOVE to get it done out of metal, though I hadn't thought of plating it...Plans for the future!

If I wer you I'd build the lock that Skeletor places the sword in that has the flashing LED's that's seen near the end of the movie.
