I just got notified from Redford Films that my tricorder was shipped out today. I know alot of you have been waiting on these.:thumbsup

I was just on MR's site and this is the latest message in their forum from Tom as of 03/03/09.

Does that mean it's going to be produced? That's still the plan and until we're told differently, that's what we're going to say. Could it be canceled like the Ghostbusters line? Unfortunately this is a reality in these uncertain times. Yes, we can get a call tomorrow (the same way we did with GB) to cancel all existing orders for the item and pull it from the website. Personally, I don't see that happening due to the fact we have pre-orders in, we've already shipped a number of units with an overwhelming positive response and all we need to do is have them assembled. In writing it seems like a pretty obvious and easy scenario but unfortunately due to the economics of the situation (more than anything else), we've been having some difficulty. Comparatively it's quite different than the Ghostbusters event. I can still assure everyone here that the Tricorders are still live and we are still planning on finishing the run. June '09 is still the target. If that changes in anyway, you'll see it here.

We know that MR keeps tabs on the forum, maybe Tom or someone from there will chime in and let us know what is happening.

I'm sad I missed the preorder date, hopefully there will still be some around for me when they all get released. They look pretty nice from what I've seen so far, though nothing compared to a Federation Surplus or Hyperdyne Labs model.

Throw those pieces in a box, we can do kits :lol.

If MR does not end up making them you could get one from Rod.Com. You can not get much more accurate than made by the same guys that did the originals.

I know they are more expensive but I bet they are hard to beat.

Can we get some good photos from one of the members who got theirs? The comments I've read so far in different prop forums are mixed.
