Big... BIG THANKS to @Trooper_trent for designed and printing a new and appropriate handle for my bell jar.



He was kind enough to print two handles for me. As you can see I have a raw black one on the jar which is a match for the raw plastic of the base.

I am going to experiment with the second one and add some paint to the recessed areas to get the logo to pop. I'll see which one I like batter on the jar.

Yes, the inset square was a perfect fit. I should have given a deeper measurement for it though because I did not take into account for the curvature of the larger part of the original base. I should have measured the peg (like you said) instead of the hole. :facepalm But you only notice if you take a close up image like I did. Otherwise you can't tell.

Gah! so close! lol. You could also just grind down the clear plastic portion with a dremel or sand paper to make it sit lower.

I thought about that. I also have a few various size/thickness o-rings that I thought might make a good spacer. Like I said, you basically have to stick your nose up to it to notice.

Here is the other one that @Trooper_trent made for me. I experimented with some paint. Added the red to one side and a rubbing of silver to the other (just enough for the symbol to pop.

Thread back from the dead. BTW, did you ever get that replacement Leia blaster case made? If so, mind putting up a picture? Several years ago had a shelf collapse and the acrylic cases for my Leia and thermo D were smashed. Just wondering how it turned out for ya.

I grabbed one last night. It was a bit hard to find. Most Targets are sold out of them. I've already removed the feet and the bat at the top.

I went with a Star Warsy greeblie look for the top of mine. I also removed the feet. I'm having trouble getting a good picture, but
I'll try again later in better light.

They sell out fast every year. If you see one buy it! I broke mine and had to replace it last year and it was a bear to track down one.
