Masking lights led

Hello my friends, i have a huge problem with armour.
The whole armor has ornaments, and evry piece of ornaments is glowing.
Normally, when the light is turned off armor looks normal.

Here is the problem, how to make painted elements (painted silver) let in light led. Maybe semi-transparent paint to the glass, do you have any ideas?
I have to make the LED light is visible despite the fact that the armor is silver, is the paint that gives the Venetian mirror effect / One-way mirror

I was thinking that if I were creating armor with a light effect - that I would create void lines in the armor. I wouldn't mount the lights directly in the gaps but would mount them underneath the armor pieces and aim them so they are facing the opening. That way they would not be visible when they're off. Then to fill the gap I'd use something like clear resin if the armor is rigid or a flexible clear product. You could use hot glue or clear silicone caulk if you want to keep things cost effective.

Hey, i tested something new to find the best method to do this .Instead of single LED will be wire or strip .
I found something wonderful called ,, electroluminescent wire" but there is one problem ,how to hide it as turning off light.

Unfortunately, I have to buy 25 m to my costume
