Marvel buy back rights to Hulk (& Namor)?

Wait, what? Marvel already has the film rights to Hulk. I thought they didn't want to do solo movies simply because they didn't think he was a strong enough character to carry a standalone film (I agree with this, by the way).

Yeah,....Universal has the rights for Hulk solo movies, Marvel were likely playing that whole not good enough for a solo film down...
Mark Ruffalo & the character are well established now,....I'd say they could make a pretty good attempt at a new Hulk movie, compared to where we were when the first 2 films came out

Plus don't forget The Incredible Hulk TV series ran for 5 years,...I feel pretty positive

I imagine marvel would love to get back the IP license for hulk solo movies. To be honest, Marvel made successful movies of ant-man, doctor strange and captain marvel, who were historically 2nd tier heroes in the marvel universe, so I imagine that marvel might be able to make a successful Hulk movie.
Somehow the ang lee version and the reboot were both boring, albeit through different means.

I'd like to see MCU get the rights back for Fantastic Four and do the same thing. Build each of the FF characters up as supporting characters in other MCU films until they can do a proper Galactus or Doom crossover film.

They already did when Disney bought Fox. Last summer at SDCC Kevin Feige said that they're working on bringing them into the MCU. Also, the latest rumor is that the next Black Panther film we likely introduce Doctor Doom.

I'd be open to them doing something with Namor, because their track record with films is so good, but the little I have seen of him in the comics over the years left me indifferent at best toward a character that I always thought of as "Spockuaman."
