Marty McFly's Jeans...Let's Talk

Also give the shoes a wash after, and change the insoles since it’s a very old shoe.
I'm talking about the nice, clean white/blue ones that I'd get done professionally. I still dont really know what I'd do with this pair thats two sizes too small for me.

Ohh my bad. Then idk lol this one can be some sort of experiment?

Ok I've looked closely at the GUESS website. I found out that the G18 Relaxed jeans, Eco G14 Slim Jeans, and Eco G16 Straight Jeans are very similar to Marty's jeans. At least the waistband is very accurate I would say.

Blue painters tape is… bad. Get yellow auto refinish masking tape.

Edit- make a rubbing of the swoosh and cut the tape close to shape and press it on with a tongue depressor.

I just don't wanna accidentally mess up $200 vintage sneakers.
I'll tell you what I did to make you feel better. I also have a pair of blue swoosh Nike Bruins. I tried spray paint - bad. I tried acrylic - bad. I tried leather dye airbrush- wasn't great, but better. The thing I ended up doing was taking the Swoosh and the back pieces off of a pair of Nike Cortez (I buy these as my daily shoe, I've gone through about 5 so far, also much cheaper to find) and sewing on/gluing it with some kind of rubber cement or maybe shoe goo? Or maybe I just used the sticky residue from the original Bruin because it was still tacky? It was a while ago... I don't remember. The pieces fit like gloves, it was about the same size. Pinning and stretching were crucial. It's a PAIN to get a small enough needle to go through the shoe/leather, and it kept getting sticky residue from the glue, making it impossible at times. It took me a few months of stopping and going. You really have to trust the process. You can see in some of the pictures what paint did to the swoosh/back. Turned out okay I think, I always see imperfections, but from far, who cares.

Not sure if this'll help, but I thought I'd mention it (y)

Those look pretty good. Those are the 2016 Photo Blue Bruin QS.

Thanks! Oh no way! I didn't realize there was a release in 2016 or anything, I thought I had gotten a sweet vintage deal! Good to know in case for the future lol
They dropped March 26th of that year. I really want a pair someday, as I would feel less guilty about customizing them. Though, 11s are a bit hard to come by.

They fit better than the jeans I normally wear! I did notice a few differences with the other pair I have.

So... there may have been some pronunciation confusion at some point. London's jeans are 1015, not 1050. These are also particularly earlier than most pairs of 1050, as they have the jacket style tag as opposed to a woven fabric tag like the patch.
