Martian War Machine

OK, I think I have some time to work on this kit! I was wondering if any of you have put electronics in your kits? I know there is a pre built set up for this kit but has anyone built anything from scratch. I would love to have the wing tips and front green eye to light and also the ray in the cobra to pulse red/orange. Oh this is the Pegasus kit from War of the Worlds.

Thanks for all your help in the past!:thumbsup

Thanks for the links, I love the voodoofx but right now price is a factor.
I 'll keep this in mind maybe later on this year I can pick one up.

Thanks guy's!

When I started mine last year I used white LEDs from old flashlights that had stopped working and a lighthouse flasher unit from an online model shop.

I have yet to finish it though. Down the road I hope to order one of the VoodooFX kits for another martian war machine.

Hey Snowshoe,
Maybe you'd like to practice and wire mine up for me?
Seriously...I was the first to purchase the Voodoo lighting kit before they were even offered but am all thumbs when it comes to wiring.
I even had the kit metalized and it's real purty but...been sitting on a shelf since receiving the lighting kit...
That unit you built for the front of yours is nice and bright, IMHO it looks better bright.
Anyone have any thoughts on whether or not the clear green parts should be fogged at all?

I fogged the green lenses inside with flat clear Krylon. A piece of white translucent plastic was also added in front of the Leds. It seemed to defuse the light nicely.

Thanks Yuumi that is some cool stuff! I'm still thinking on how to go.
Did you guys putty up the seams then wire it or wire it then putty and paint?
