Martian Marine Goliath power armor from the Expanse

I have been working on and off on this project for a couple years now and have finally decided to hammer on it. I figure a build thread would help keep me motivated. The helmet and forearm gun are 3D printed. The rest will be mostly EVA foam made with home made templates from lots of concept art and production photos. Here is a photo dump of the progress I've made since 2018. The pics are in no particular order but you can still see the evolution.

For starters, here is the helmet. This is the first one I printed, it is in PLA. I have a new one on the printer now that is PETG. The visor was made on my homemade vac-forming box. I am cleaning up the buck for the visor as the 1st pull had a lot of imperfections that showed up in the plastic. Before finding the 3D helmet file, I was attempting to sculpt the helmet in clay and then cast it. Sculpting was way harder than I thought it would be, and I did not have the time/patience/skill set at the time to finish it. Fortunately I found the 3D files and got a printer just for this project and I am extremely happier with the results. I've since gotten way deeper into printing than I thought I would. I did a test pull of the visor yesterday and discovered that the buck needed a lot more clean up. Also the plastic for the visor bubble because I think I got it too hot.

Sorry but no. I wish I could because of how awesome it is but It is a paid 3D file. I can point you in the direction of the creator of the file though.

There is a free Low Res 3D file in the files section of the Expanse Cosplay page as well along with a file for the arm cannon.

Free handed a pattern for the lower legs. Using this a a test piece to make adjustments.

I'm so pleased that someone is doing a Goliath Suit. One of the reasons I came back to RPF after a long absence was because I wanted to get back into costume building, spurred on by binge watching The Expanse in the last few weeks.

I am saving my hand made patterns as I go. Actual Pepakura would be nice but 3D modeling is a bit beyond my skillset. Once this is all sorted and I am happy with it out I will share them. A lot of trial and error.

Where can I find concept art for other Expansion costumes like this Goliath blueprint?
I'm doing 3D modeling and I want to make 3D models of the soldiers of Mars, Earth and Protogen...

Any patterns that I make I'm posting for free on the expanse cosplay page on the facebook. I purchased a 3D print set of files so I haven't really focused on the foam armor. I did take the foam out for a test drive at a party a few weeks ago. Once my print is built I might make some rough templates from the armor and post them.
