Marth's sword: Fire emblem Awakening?

So I just got a comission to make marth's sword from fire emblem awakening.
the request was to make a wooden sword so it's con safe but also durable.
requirements were that the sword was 1m long, blade of anywhere between 4 and 5 cm wide and a handle wrapped in leather.
I know where to get the leather. and i also have wood, but i can't find any good pictures to make a concept drawing of the sword.
i also don't have the most experience with wood sword making.
if you have something like drawings, concept art, blueprints or advice for wood swordmaking could you please put it in the comments?
i really want to finish it and in a good way because it's for a friend of me.

Well, Do you know if the sword he uses in Fire Emblem Awakening is the same as the one he uses is Super Smash Brothers? Because if it is you should be able to find tons of reference images from that game. As for making a sword out of wood, in traditional European martial arts wood swords are called "wasters" so you might be able to find some stuff online about it if you search for that.
