Mannequin head advice

im thinking of ordering this Polystyrene Mannequin head as its very cheap for a helmet display

i need it to be flesh coloured, can this be painted.

The safest way would be to use acrylic or water based paints.
On your behalf I've just painted a piece of polystyrene with some Humbrol enamel and it seems okay.
Which ever method you choose it's probably a good idea to do a test on the underside of the neck as certain styrene’s can have different properties.
Cellulose car paints are definitely not the way to go unless you want to recreate the acid burning through the polystyrene floor scene in Alien!
