Brilliant job. I hope they don't mess with it much in the next movie. [emoji106]

Good Job man!
Great job as always bro.... the best ive seen and the color really spot on .![]()
Very nice job man! I'd like to see some closeups of the chainmail work if possible. From what I can see, you made it different than the original pattern, but it still works just as well. Definitely gives it a unique touch!
Also, can you describe how you did the cape? Was this purchased at Jo-anns? Was it tango red or different color?
HOLY! Nailed it! I'm definitely looking forward to getting started on one of these one day!

Hey mydlyfe let me know if you want to know how I made the cape and anyone else if you are interested I share it here.![]()
Okay so how I made the cape. The cape is made from 8yrd of 60” wide fabric. The first step was to take a back measurement from the base of the neck to the floor and then I added about 4 extra inches for hemming and what needed to be taken out for the neckline. With that measurement I drew a quarter of a circle as my pattern. The cape is a modified half circle. I took two inches down to make the inner circle for the neck. See diagram below:
I then to cut this out of the fabric cut the above pattern in half so the cape had 4 panels. I doubled up the fabric laying out the fabric with the 60” wide folding the yardage in half; each panel took about 2yrs of fabric. There is a trick to cutting out the middle sections as I added width at the neckline to accommodate the pleating and the neck. So I added 10 inches to the middle of each panel when cutting it out. See below diagram:
I then sewed all the panels together and hemmed all the edges. The pleats on the shoulders are just 4 knife pleats. And that’s a quick version on how the cape was made.
