Man of Steel

I really need to get a larger shield made. The shield on my shirt is the perfect size... 33cm wide by 25cm high. Does anyone know where I can get it made?

Looks great! How's the attachment to the suit look? Most of the replicas I've seen have a lot of bunching in that area.

Larger shield eh? Just so happens I'm talking to a laser cutter about making one myself! It's gonna be about 33cm wide but won't include the gold as I'm gonna try to do that with the fabric like they did for the movie itself

Thanks! We're experimenting with a hook and eye attachment, but I'll post it up as soon as it's done.

Hope it works out for ya. My friend told me about a laser shop where I can make one myself... So I might end up going that route. The one I have now is really nice, but wayyy too small.
 
Looks great xEVANSx! Are you also puff painting the chain mail onto the blue? My recent suit with my family can be seen in my album. Its different from the airbrushed one that obliterated the chainmail. The chain mail is printed on like most dye subs.

Thanks much! I'm in the process of puff painting onto the blue, but it's taking longer than expected. I finished the arms and the back, and I've been working on the legs. The puff paint looks awesome though, and definitely adds a new dimension to the suit. I'll snap some pics the next time I have it on so you can check it out :)

Yep. I was even going to laser cut a pattern out of thin plastic, but that would've been one hell of a process. The puff paint container I'm using allows me to make somewhat precise strokes... Just have to do it slowly. I'm using a variation on the chainmail pattern that was in the movie... So it won't be exact, but still looks pretty cool.

looks like the chainmail detailing is finishing up as well from what I can see on the arms, looking forward to the reveal :thumbsup
