Thought some of you might find this interesting (if not informative). The NRA magazine "America's First Freedom" just did this spread on Mal's pistol. I take no responsibility for the accuracy of any statements herein.

Thanks, its a cool little blurb... but AARRRGGGGHHH!!! They say there was no live firing pistol in Firefly?????? WTF????
 
I believe that is part of the national firearms museum's big display of movie guns. They have a ton of cool stuff on display right now.
 
"Allied Effects" isnt the current owner of either of the two hero live fire Mal pistols. Im sure he meant "Applied Effects" which is also not the current owner. Those poor guns are shrouded in inaccurate public information regardless of how well meaning the writer is.
 
I'd love to go see the museum display if it's still up. Funny that the NRA has firefly fans in their ranks. Just never saw those two together.
