Making Suede look more like leather

I have a brown Suede jacket that I would like to modify to look like the new Han Solo jacket until I can find a better option.

Is there something I can apply to the suede, like wax, to make it look more like leather? A hot iron?

There is a gum product for smoothing out the back of leather you might look into.
They sell it on the Tandy Leather site.
Starts with a T.

Bees wax may also,work.

I was thinking a thin layer of wax or even some of the waterproofing spray for leather shoes. The wax would work better and give you a more worn look with highs and lows like in the screen used jacket.

You could probably use a dubbing compound like what servicemen used to treat their combat boots. Something like Obenaufs of Sno-seal.

Here's an example with Sno-seal.

Oh that's interesting. Is it also available in Europe? The Tandy thing I mean? Or should I just look for the wax?
