Okay so I'm very very new to this but I've made an iron man helmet from pepakura and have it all finished and now I want to be able to cast it because I can't stand bondo lol. If someone could help me like Barney style I'd love you forever!!! Idk where to buy or what to buy. Seen a million videos online from people and some say do this don't do this others say the opposite. I don't need anything perfect giving the fact I don't want to go sell the helmet I just want some casts for myself to play around with paint and get the whole battle damaged and weathering skills down. When you say you "hate bondo" you mean you have already finished your helmet with body filler correct?
If you haven't gotten that far yet, you aren't ready for molding. If you have, a good place to start is Smooth On's tutorial videos for making molds. You'll need to do a two-part brush-on silicone mold with registration keys and mother mold (typically fiberglass)
