Making a Muscle Suit?

I got around to checking a couple of stores the other day to see if anyone had a decent muscle suit. To my dismay, I couldn't find a darn thing that would work. Sure, I found muscle suits, but it's ridiculous that I couldn't find a dang thing. I found stuff like Power Rangers, but they were all for little kids. Unless I was less than five feet and had the weight of a toothpick, it was a lost cause. So I came up with a new theory. Last year I had simply used skin-tight clothing, similar to that of a unitard or something. I began thinking up the process to making a muscle suit out of this, and I figured that if I could arrange foam in certain patterns that I could actually manage to make a decent muscle suit. But there was a roadblock that I hit. If I was to do this, would it be hard to paint? It's only cloth and foam, but still. My other thought was on about other circumstances. Would latex be needed in this, and what exactly is the point in it? The final question I have is where to buy latex (Preferably not mentioning eBay, or some other method where waiting is necessary, because I'm still going to end up moving).

Thanks in advance.

buycostumes.com offers a nice Mr Incredible muscle suit which im currently working on at the moment. offers a good starting point for making a skin suit. as for latex, i bought some RD-407 from Monstermakers.com havent used it yet, but seen a lot of people here on The Lair talking about it, so figured i would give it a try. hope this helps.

Like I said, can't buy anything from any 'sites. Gonna be moving within the month. So if I ordered it, I wouldn't have enough time to get it and start working on it.

well when i ordered the suit i think i got it in like 4 days, and the latex i got in like only 2 or 3, so i say unless youre moving in like a week youd be good. at least that way you would have the stuff anywayz. just my opinion though...

I hate moving and the time it takes away from your free time. I hope that you find a what you need when its time. Ebay aways has them for sale, so you will never not be able to get one. The best time to get them cheap is right after Halloween. Its alway good to buy a few just in case at the after Halloween sale.

Actually Mortal Immortal, you've given me an idea from another thread. I can do the foam idea, and then duct tape the thing. That's look like muscles...
