Very cool. I wish those kits were more affordable. You would think as popular as the series is someone would get the rights to produce them in the US. I mean Revell or them could make a series of mad max vehicle kits that would make them a mint.

Very nicely done there! I love the black on black given I know exactly what is needed to make one.

I've got more then a few Aoshima kits stashed away for MM and RW creations as I also want to do the clean black on black and a proper Road Warrior car. Aoshima did make it easier a couple years ago to do a Road Warrior machine when they issued a revised Interceptor with stuff more based on the movie car then their previous one (which as I understand it was based on a replica in Japan) and a white metal dog figure. One will also have to go the partial scratchbuild and kitbash route to do Black on black (which the first kit is still best for). Of course, at least they give you pretty close to a stock interior with the original issue, so one just theoretically needs a rear seat back, the passenger seat (I'll scrounge one from a second kit) the trunk with spoiler and the front fascia to do it as they also give you the radio box.

As for US kit availability, the original issue Aoshima Mad Max Interceptors were imported into the states about 5 years ago and I managed to swell my collection slightly with a couple of the kits purchased at Hobby Lobby during the coupon sales. Many of those kits are still up for sale on eBay these days for cheap prices. While it would have been cool for Revell to do them, I think Aoshima did a good enough job and Revell's last attempt to do post apocolytic cars didn't meet with much sales success as all they did was issue stock kits with some decal sheets, maybe a parts tree with some extra fuel cans and paint the cars in a weathered state on the box. They aren't going to do kits that can only be built as Road Warrior one offs (even if it would be cool if they did). Of course, I would also love to see Aoshima alter their Interceptor to do it up as a stock Falcon XB as even the normal car looks cool to my eye.

Thank You Sir!!

Yes I did quite a bit of Scratch Building on Both Vehicles..

I personally would like them to do the actual Police Cars seen in the first Mad Max Film.

Max's Car and Big Bopper's...Very cool Yellow and Blue Police Cars!!

Actually, If any of you guys have an extra white metal dog that came with the latter kits , that you don't need of course,I could use it!!!

Those look great. Been seeing more MM stuff popping up here. I too would love to see a kit of the Falcon sedan. Get a fleet of of MFP junkers going!
