Mad Max Interceptor roof display with scratch built lights

Ive found myself putting together my favorite lightbars from movie and TV vehicles that i will never actually have the pleasure to own.
My latest is the Mad Max four door Interceptor. The lights for this would normally run up to $800 each so i had a crack at replicating them and the end result came in at under $25. For the purposes of the display, i think they came out pretty good.
Next i will partner it up with a Big Bopper version and then a Starsky and Hutch display. Combined with 1:1 Spinner lights, im fast running out of space.

That is so far beyond awesome I can't think of a word for it. Fantastic work thats why I hate you.....nah only kidding :) :thumbsup

It's cool and abstract and familiar all at once!

Mad Max is one of my favourites and Max's yellow MFP Interecptor is my favourite movie car!

Love it! :thumbsup

So you made the lenses from tupperware type containers. Clever. Did you spray them or mold new ones?

Thanks, yes i should have mentioned that.

I sprayed the inside of the containers with the Japanese brand Mr Hobby and the paint was Mr Color clear red and blue.
Also used this for the yellow CR spinner light. After spraying i had to paint around the lip at the top with a very small brush.
