Mad Max: Fury Road

Ah that makes more sense. I don't think i've seen any of his movies but hopefully he can pull it off.

I was thinking that too. There's so much hype over the years of this movie and high expectations that even if it's great it still may not live up to what everyone was expecting.

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road - HERO CAR SPYSHOT

I acquired a spy shot of the hero car for the new Mad Max.

Just kidding, this is my daily driver. I just wanted an Interceptor since I was little. So I built my own.

Holy crap been waiting for this to release for too long! Hope they don't need to add cgi :cry Although props, costumes & vehicles should def. be very interesting

Charlize makes me think Prometheus makes me think "you can't go home again." I'm optimistic, but a bunch of insiders releasing positive twitters means zilch. It's just PR/advertising.

BTW not all were insiders, there were many regular movie goers as well, including at least one RPF member and I think there could have been more. The general consensus also included the words "nuts" and "insane" in their reactions :).

I hope so. Still...no matter how good it is, it can never recapture the era that created it. Call it the curse of the Prequels, if you will. However, as an absolutely crazed fan of the first two, and tolerant of the third, I'm sure I'll see this opening weekend :lol

MIller's comment that it has very little dialogue makes me optimistic. Road Warrior was practically a silent western, and all the better for it.

FURY ROAD Is Coming And EW Has The Cover To Prove It | Badass Digest
"I've heard reports that Warner Bros is worried about the movie, and when you see that description - a 110 minute chase scene with little dialogue - you understand why. Becuase this has the hallmarks of a classic, and studios just don't know what to do with that kind of movie anymore."

Things like this is little worrisome, I hope WB doesn't tone down the action and hopefully doesn't butcher the film.

I have a feeling it's going to have lots of boobs and explosions to fill seats with the typical hollywood target audience no matter how much Miller tries to stick to the old max style. I bet the studio hacks it up and the put out the unrated director's cut on dvd to double their money.

Was Kennedy the better half of this venture? The bad sequel was after his death, correct? He was not there for Thunderdome?
