Hello all!
I’m always been a car guy, and as all of you know mad max fury road is one of the best for all of those who love functional props and movie vehicles.. I own a Driving Simulator and have always wanted a functional War Rig shifter complete with dagger and functional Trans splitter switch..
Well I’ve started… here’s what I got so far..
The bone is from an anatomy Class replica and is made of a high density recycled plastic.. similar to plastic decking. The shift rod and dagger I turned on a lathe to fit together with 2thou of clearance..
The Splitter switch was taken off an old Kenworth at a junk yard..
I know it’s not even close to an exact replica..
But I was doing what I could with what I had.. and I wanted it to be functional..
I still need to age and paint the bone and rod. I still need to wire up the switch with a usb game controller encoder , and I still need to tap the bottom side, so it screws into my simulation shifter.
Lots left to do..
