Macready’s Scotch Glass- The Thing

Trying to find the right glass to display next to to my J&B bottle on my ‘The Thing’ shelf. Any whiskey experts recognize the glass? Or know where I could get something similar? It looks to be fairly generic. But most rocks glasses or lowballs I’ve found on Google don’t have the slight curve that this one has to it.

Any help is appreciated!!

Went through and took a few screenshots from my blu ray copy. Nothing too different but figured they might be a bit clearer.

Those glasses are probably 35+ years old at this point and probably out of production. You're best bet is to check Etsy or eBay.

Thanks! I'll definitely be checking out both. I'm just clueless when it comes to the categorization of whiskey/scotch/etc. glasses and barware. Wouldn't really know where to start as far as what to search!

I would start with rocks glasses, maybe highball glasses. Other than that, afraid I can't be much help. Good luck!

After seeing this thread, I was looking for that glass for at least two hours the other day haha. No luck, unfortunately. Search terms “lowball” and “double” are also accurate for that type of glass. It’s clearly a rocks glass, but not everyone who has one would call it that. Even searching for “juice glass” and “tumbler” will get results of similar glasses. The shape on the bottom could be called “ridged”, “ribbed”, or just “textured”, but unfortunately the bottom shape might not even be mentioned, so those modifiers might not help. I swear my gradfather had glasses just like that when I was a kid, that we used for juice with breakfast. It’s definitely at least 35 years old, as noted by sycor. “Vintage” might help yield results, or might not.

A couple of likely options;
