Here is my machined aluminum batman symbol. I think the next one I am going to go with a bit thinner aluminum. Its 6.81"W x 2.28"H x .25"T. I also want to make one out of steel as a batarang being that its the same thing. Although im not sure the exact dimensions(W x H x T) of the actual batarang. So if anyone knows I welcome the help. well here they are hope you like.

Good work! :thumbsup The proportions look right.

I can get you exact measurements later, although I'm not sure where the files are buried--it's been a while. Do you have access to a laser cutter?

thanks guys.

@Synasp I dont have access to a laser cutter. I CNC'd these on my cnc mill in my garage. Hey I would appreciate those dimensions when you get a chance. I know you made awesome ones before and I was hopin you'd stop by. Yours were laser or plasma cut out of steel right?

I was going for batarang and I beleive the original batarangs were steel, but I usualy test cut aluminum before going steel to make sure all is good. So I just call it a symbol until I get it cut in steel:).

Looks nice dude! I wish I had CNC equipment in my garage. I;m sure you spent a pretty penny on it.

Not to bad. I just bought a mill for like $500 and converted it to be cnc. It wasnt hard. That cost about $1000 more. the software, tools, bits, fixtures, vises etc. is were it starts to cost alot. Im in the proccess of building from the ground up a 36" x 51" cnc router now. I cant wait to finish that:love

And when you finish that, everyone will became your friend!
(Me included! Not that now I don't want to, but...:D)

:lol

Nice work BTW;)

Thanks
I just got the movie logo of the internet and drug it into Adobe Illustrator and traced one half and then mirrored that to make it exact on both sides and sent it to my CAD program as a DWG. So using the movie logo should make it exact in proportions, but I need real life dimensons for the batarang. If Synasp cant find his I will have to freeze frame the movie. But hey this size in aluminum is pretty close and would look good on my truck as an emblum:love
