Not really a prop but has been in countless movies. The basic pieces are ridiculously simple. The difficulty is in the precision of cutting pieces, bending metal and drilling holes. I am also not happy with the paint, but think the Krylon brown camo paint over black primer and textured silver will simulate a Powder coat Parkerized finish.
I am going to take it apart and repaint it. I used the hyperdyne sound and light so the trigger flashes the barrel strobes and the sound is wired to the jeep stereo. I would rather have a real M2 sound effect but am OK with the M41A. (a personal favorite).
The plans I bought are available and cheap. They need some interpretation but it is a huge head start. The basic frame is a composite flooring material, the barrel is PVC and everything else is sheetmetal.
