M111 Iron man helmet ready to mold

Hey Guy's recently finished my M111 helmet . . getting ready to make casts from it. . will produce a 3/4 piece and full one for display. . aprecciate your comments!

Did you use clay over a pep helmet? Looks pretty nice.

Cheers! Yes! that's exactly what I did! . . not as easy as it sounds! as you don't get a smooth contour when you lay the clay on . .and it doesen't stick too well to the resin on the pepekura... It's really like sculpting from scratch but using a really accurate base!

very nice work, i attempted a scratch clay sculpt of that but quit after frustration of trying to get precise symmetry going on.i should have tried over the pep method

cheers! yea it made the job alot easier I found by sticking dowels inside the pep in key places I was able to support it in the right shape for sculpting pep being cardboard tends to go in on the sides after you resin it.
